Our Programs
Three Paths to
Financial Clarity
Each Tundra Wisdom program addresses a specific area of adult financial life โ designed to build understanding progressively, session by session.
โ Back to HomeHow We Teach
Our Educational Approach
Every program at Tundra Wisdom follows a build-as-you-go model. Early sessions establish foundational vocabulary; later sessions apply that vocabulary to increasingly specific decisions and circumstances. Participants who complete a full program find they're able to engage with their financial life in a meaningfully different way โ not because we've told them what to do, but because we've helped them understand what they're looking at.
Foundation First
Every term introduced is explained clearly. No assumed knowledge; every participant starts from the same baseline.
Discussion-Driven
Sessions use real-world scenarios and participant questions to drive the conversation โ not a fixed lecture script.
Applied Understanding
Each session ends with a practical takeaway โ something you can act on, review, or bring to a professional conversation.
Budgeting for Life Transitions
Divorce, the death of a spouse, a career shift, early retirement โ these transitions share something in common: they require rebuilding a financial picture from scratch, often while navigating significant emotional weight. This two-session intensive is designed for exactly that situation.
We cover practical budgeting techniques suited to a changed income or household structure, how to evaluate and adjust recurring expenses, and how to establish or rebuild an emergency fund. Delivered with discretion and care.
What's Included
- Customizable budgeting template (digital)
- Emergency fund strategy framework
- Expense review checklist
- 30-day follow-up check-in call
- In-person or video call participation

Understanding Investment Accounts
The Canadian investment landscape has a distinct architecture โ registered accounts, contribution limits, and tax implications that differ meaningfully from those in other countries. For adults who want to engage more thoughtfully with their savings, understanding this architecture is the essential starting point.
This four-session series walks through each account type and investment vehicle without jargon. The emphasis is on comprehension and comfort โ leaving participants able to read their statements, ask their advisors better questions, and compare options with confidence.
What's Included
- Four 90-minute sessions
- Account comparison reference guides (digital)
- Glossary of key investment terms
- Guided exercises between sessions
- Small group discussion โ max 10 participants
Estate & Legacy Planning Fundamentals
Estate preparation tends to sit on the to-do list for years โ not because people don't care, but because the topic can feel overwhelming or emotionally charged. This program approaches it differently: at a comfortable pace, in a small group of eight or fewer, and with a focus on the non-legal aspects that participants can act on directly.
We cover document organization, how to understand and update beneficiary designations, how to communicate wishes to family members, and how to evaluate whether current insurance coverage reflects your situation. This is not a legal service โ it's the educational preparation that makes those legal conversations far more productive.
What's Included
- Six guided sessions
- Comprehensive guided workbook
- Digital organizer toolkit
- Beneficiary designation review framework
- Maximum 8 participants for a close-knit setting
